Out for Breakfast - Suburban Cafe, West End

We recently went out for breakfast (or Brunch if you prefer) to Suburban Cafe at West End.  Delicious was one word that springs to mind!  The actual menu at the cafe seems to be slightly different from the online version, but I still ordered the item I had decided on before we got there..... I didnt get photos of many of the dishes, but here are three.....

French Toast with bacon & maple syrup.

Bacon & Eggs - this was Janet's brekky

The Healthy Breakfast - this was mine! It had grilled mushrooms with rocket on thick sourdough toast topped with parmesan, and some roasted tomatoes. Delicious I say!! Yes, the mushrooms were delicious!!

Another dish that caught my eye was the avocado stack - but it came with poached eggs, which I am not a fan of, but many other people at our table chose this and enjoyed it.

I would definitely go back here for some more delicious breakfast (& mushrooms!!)

Weekend Breakfast at Home

P1060974

Ok, so its not the prettiest of breakfasts, but it was very delicious! I fried up some tomato, onion and spinach with a splash of balsamic, to go with I also scrambled an egg. I scrambled my egg with a spoonfull of no-fat greek-style yoghurt. The reason the egg looks a little multi-coloured is because I fried it in the pan after I removed the vegies, and I am lazy and didnt clean it out. Only aesthetic harm done :-)

for Janet, I fried a couple of eggs and some bacon.

Breakfast!! - Creamed Corn Scrambled Egg Wrap

After training on Saturday mornings, I sometimes like to cook myself up a tasty morsel for breakfast.  This creamed corn scrambled egg wrap hit the spot quite nicely!

Simply beat together 2 eggs and one of those little tins of creamed corn, then cook gently in a frying pan, scrambling as it cooks - it doesnt look pretty......

once cooked to your liking, spread egg onto a piece of mountain bread (split between 2 pieces is proabably the best way to go - make 2 wraps), drizzle with bbq sauce if you so desire....

roll up and eat!
